As a virtual sanctuary, Rooted Spirit has congregants all over the U.S. In an effort to bridge the digital divide, we have planned this in-person campout!
Sanctuary Under The Stars will be a weekend getaway for spiritual community, open to both current members of Rooted Spirit Sanctuary, as well as those interested in connecting with likeminded spiritual community.
The weekend will be filled with activities to get to know one another, hikes to connect and learn from nature, shared meals, and stories and songs around the campfire.
This will NOT be a heavily-structured event, but it will be lightly-structured. We will have activities planned, while also being open to the organic co-creation of the space by all present.

*Participants are welcome to stay and camp Sunday night into Monday at no charge; we will need a preliminary headcount one week out in order to let the venue know.
If you’re flying, you can book in and out of SAN (San Diego Int’l Airport). We will want you to arrive at SAN no later than 2pm Friday the 1st, and we won’t be able to guarantee your return to the airport until Monday morning. However, you could always rent a car, or perhaps hitch a ride from someone coming in locally. The venue is located about one hour from the airport.
You are welcome to camp in your car, RV, camper van, or tent. We have lots of space for all the things. This time of year, temps are typically highs in the 70s with lows in the 50s, and we are typically through with the rainy season.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided both Saturday and Sunday. Participants will be responsible for their own dinners on Friday and Sunday.
We ask that participants bring something for a potluck for Saturday’s dinner.
The venue has an outdoor 5-burner gas stove, a small refrigerator, and a double sink with potable water.
The venue has two heated outdoor showers. If you plan to use them, please bring soaps and shampoos that are biodegradable and eco-friendly, such as castille or coconut soaps/shampoos.
This event is kid-friendly for all ages.
Unfortunately, you will need to leave your furry family members at home, unless they are a registered and trained Service Animal.
Exciting times are near. Be part of our ongoing story of spiritual growth and community.
